The U.S. Solid electric solenoid valve, made of durable brass, is ideal for outdoor use, but not suitable for underwater applications. It is popular among customers for DIY projects, moderate temperature and chemical applications, as well as for controlling flow in irrigation, reverse osmosis, and motorcycle systems.

Direction of the Flow: Most U.S. Solid Valves are unidirectional. It is important to pay attention to the arrow on your valve. Connecting the valve in the opposite direction may lead to improper actuation, especially for Normally Closed valves. Make sure the medium passing through the valve is filtered to prevent particle buildup on the gasket over time.

OVERHEATING: Avoid energizing the valve for more than 8 hours at a time to prevent coil burnout. Consider using a computer fan to keep the coil cool for extended use.

POLARITY: For valves with 2 wires, actuation is independent of wire polarity. Some units may include a ground wire.

GASOLINE and PRESSURE WARNING: NBR gaskets are not suitable for gasoline or oily substances; opt for VITON gaskets instead. All solenoid valves require pressure to actuate.
