This means the opening in the ball is a full 1/2”. If pressure is important or if you are working with mixed materials, a full-bore ball valve is the best option. Installation of these valves may take a few seconds for full open/close action, so they are not ideal for situations requiring rapid action. Wiring Instructions For DC: Connect the yellow wire to the negative pole(-). Red wire opens the valve when connected to the positive pole(+), and blue wire closes it. Disconnecting any wire maintains the current valve state. For AC: Connect the yellow wire to any pole. Red wire opens the valve when connected to the other pole, and blue wire closes it. Disconnecting any wire maintains the current valve state. Precision Threading Installation The motorized ball valve features standard NPT threading for easy U.S. piping connection. Tapered threading ensures a secure seal, requiring pipe thread tape for installation. Apply pipe thread tape tightly to the male pipe end for a leak-free connection throughout the valve's lifespan. NC vs. NO In N.C. valves, power closes them while opening when energized. Conversely, in N.O. valves, they are open without power and close when energized. Refer to Picture 2 for more details. Full Port vs. Standard Port Full port valves have the same internal diameter as the connected pipe, while standard port valves have a smaller internal diameter. Refer to Picture 3 for more details. Drinking Water Use NO. This brass valve should not be used for drinking water due to lead content.
